This iconic Hunter Grape variety is of French origin but the Hunter Valley is known for a style of wine which ages for many years and the combination of terroir and humid weather conditions have put its mark on this wine style. Catherine Vale has 2 clones of Semillon on 3 different rootstocks. The resultant wines can vary from year to year in their characters.
This Hunter Valley Semillon has plenty of weight and structure, with some riper lemon flavours appearing: patience not required seafood and cold entrees. Halliday Rating – 88. 11.5% Alc.Vol.
