Description
This variety is known as Gabrielle Dolcetto in honour of Bill’s Mother Gabrielle Lawson. The wine has stunning colour being soft, round, fruity and fragrant with flavours of anise and almonds. This wine is exceptionally food friendly and should be enjoyed in the first 5 years. For variation in summer try it lightly chilled as a luncheon red. A great wine with curries and other spicy dishes.
Cuttings for this planting were sourced from Best’s at Great Western where it has been grown since 1867.
