Jazz at Catherine Vale
This yearly event held on the first Sunday in October features the Frenchman Street Jazz Band who play traditional New Orleans style Jazz. They are trying to preserve the traditional Jazz as played in street parades, churches and funerals during the 1920’s and 1930’s. The name comes from the street in New Orleans where the old style of jazz is still being played.
The band enjoys performing at Catherine Vale and this free community event provides a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can sit and enjoy this great music. Smokinhotand saucy will be providing the food at this year’s event.
Join us from noon to three on the lawns at Catherine Vale soaking up the music, the view and food .
